This flat C-shaped arm is machined from matte black alumina — the same hard, insulating Al2O3 ceramic in a low-reflection black grade. The long rigid arm reaches into the equipment, and the C-opening grips or aligns a round component by its rim: one part doing the job of a metal lever plus a separate insulator, without conducting heat or electricity back to the mechanism.
The black surface is not just cosmetic. In optical, semiconductor and inspection equipment a matte black ceramic arm suppresses reflections that white ceramic or polished metal would bounce into sensors and lenses. Every contour — opening diameter, prong width, slot, handle holes and thickness — is ground from sintered blanks to your drawing.
