Alumina Ceramic Ribbed Insulator | Corrugated Al2O3 Insulation Sleeve for Heating Elements & Sensors

The ribbed (corrugated) profile is what makes this insulator work: every rib adds creepage distance along the surface, so the same installed length withstands higher voltage and resists surface tracking. It also sheds conductive dust instead of bridging it - the reason ribbed ceramics are standard on heating elements, high-voltage sensors and vacuum feed-throughs.

We machine these sleeves from 95%/99% alumina tube and solid bar, so rib pitch, rib depth, inner bore and end faces are specified by your drawing rather than limited by a mould. Both deep-rib vacuum-grade parts and cost-optimised 95% Al2O3 versions are produced in our plant. Bores and end faces are ground with concentricity held to +/-0.01 mm, so the sleeve drops into the existing assembly without reworking adjacent parts.

Key properties: increased creepage distance raises flash-over voltage without lengthening the part; continuous service 1400C (95%) to 1600C (99%); dielectric strength 15-20 kV/mm; volume resistivity >10^14 ohm-cm; alumina surface resists carbon deposition and surface conduction; custom rib geometry machined per drawing at no tooling cost.

Typical applications: heating element supports and feed-through insulation, high voltage sensor and probe insulation, vacuum furnace electrode insulation, semiconductor and photovoltaic process equipment, corundum insulator bushings for industrial controls.

Custom manufacturing: send a 2D drawing with bore, outer diameter, length, rib pitch and depth - or a sample we can measure. Prototypes from 1 piece, 7-15 days. ISO 9001 certified, RoHS 2.0 compliant.

Alumina Ceramic Ribbed Insulator | Corrugated Al2O3 Insulation Sleeve

Custom non-standard alumina (Al2O3) ceramic part · CNC precision machining · OEM / ODM · Hero Ceramic by Haorui Industrial

Product Overview

The ribbed (corrugated) profile is what makes this insulator work: every rib adds creepage distance along the surface, so the same installed length withstands higher voltage and resists surface tracking. It also sheds conductive dust instead of bridging it — the reason ribbed ceramics are standard on heating elements and high-voltage sensors.

We machine these sleeves from 95%/99% alumina tube and solid bar, so rib pitch, depth, inner bore and end faces are all specified by you rather than limited by a mould. Both deep-rib vacuum-grade parts and cost-optimised 95% versions are produced in our plant.

Custom Machining (OEM / ODM)

Haorui Industrial has machined non-standard advanced ceramics since 2006 (ISO 9001). Send us a 2D drawing (PDF/DWG) or a sample: we quote with tolerance and material recommendation, produce 1–10 piece prototypes in 7–15 days, and keep the process data for repeat batches. Materials available: 95% / 99% / 99.5% Al2O3, ZrO2, Si3N4, SiC, AlN, macor.

FAQ

Why ribbed instead of a smooth ceramic sleeve?

Ribbed surfaces roughly double the effective creepage path in the same length, which raises flash-over voltage and helps the part shed conductive contamination.

Can the ribs be machined after sintering?

Yes. We grind ribs on sintered blanks, so final dimensions are accurate and no sintering shrinkage needs to be compensated by the customer.

What information do you need for a quotation?

A 2D drawing with bore, outer diameter, length, rib pitch and depth — or a sample we can measure.

Certifications & Trade Shows

Quality you can verify: Haorui Industrial operates an ISO 9001:2015 certified quality management system (scope: precision mechanical ceramics parts), and our alumina and zirconia ceramics are RoHS 2.0 compliant — tested per IEC 62321 by an accredited third-party laboratory. We exhibit every year at CIOE (China International Optoelectronic Exposition) and semiconductor industry expositions in Shenzhen — visit our booth to see the parts in person.

Email your drawing to sales for a quotation within 24 hours — prototypes from 1 piece.
