This miniature thermocouple insulating part is machined from 99% high-purity alumina with hole positions and diameters controlled to ±0.01 mm. It keeps the two thermocouple wires separated and positioned while surviving the full temperature of the measurement point — no softening, no shrinkage, no contamination of the signal.
Standard ceramic thermocouple insulators are extruded beads; ours are ground from solid alumina, so multi-hole patterns, offset bores, flanges, notches and miniature features that extrusion cannot produce are all possible. Parts down to a few millimetres with sub-millimetre holes are routine for our micro-machining cell.

Yes. We grind parts a few millimetres across with Ø0.3–0.5 mm holes; send the drawing for a feasibility check.
Yes. 95% Al2O3 lowers cost slightly with a small reduction in max temperature and insulation resistance; 99% is recommended above 1500°C.
